Valerie was a wonderful workmate way back in the seventies. Our staff was young, friendly and hardworking. She was calm teacher of Spanish, with an unbelievably quiet demeanor that was the first note mentioned by the teachers who heard of her passing. I thank GOD for the last few years when we were able to chat and pray together for she was as much an encouragement to me as anyone else could have. She dealt with her illness with grace and dignity and was even then good at making others feel valued. Sleep on my sister, the Master’s greeting for you will be, “Well done.”To You, Delice and your brothers, while you’ve lost a wonderful mother, my family’s prayers will always lifted to the LORD for all of you and Valerie’s extended family.
