Pete Hores
I first met Mark "Hoss" was how we were introduced back in the summer of 1974 through a mutual friend Bruce Orr. Bruce put together a Sunday excursion to Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio with four of us, Bruce, Rick Fennimore, Mark and myself. The other three were ORU students I was a carpenter from the Wheeling WV area. A couple of months later when I moved to Tulsa at the suggestion of Bruce and Rick, Mark and I became friends. There were many midnight runs to Sambo's and a lot of tired morning s at work as a result. Mark went back and forth between Tulsa and Maryland at the time but we kept in touch. In the summer of '75 Mark was invited to attend the church of a coworker and I think took me along as moral support. We both felt at home and went back for a couple of weeks until he moved back to Maryland. After a couple months I contacted a guy I had met in the Sunday School class we attended and went back to Will Rogers Methodist Church and rejoined the Sunday School class. That class later became known as Phillipian Fellowship a group that is still in contact with each other. I last saw Mark and Robin in '93 when my wife and I were on our way to our honeymoon and were passing through Stevens City Virginia. We were stopping to eat and I said " I have a friend who lives here in town do you mind if I ask him to join us" Mark and Robin joined us and we had a great time of catching up. Though we were never able to get back together again we did share online . Robin I am so so so sorry for such a great loss and you have been in my constant thoughts and prayers.
