Kimberly Ann Roberts' Obituary
Kimberly "Kim" Ann Roberts, 61, of Burtonsville, MD, passed away on January 23, 2024, after losing her battle with cancer.
Kim was born on May 14, 1962, to Loretta and Donald Roberts in Bethesda, MD. After Kim graduated from Wheaton High School, she went on to study at UMBC.
The majority of Kim's professional career was spent working for Janjer Enterprises as an Accounting Manager. She worked at Janjer Enterprises for the past 40 years. Her colleagues were not only her co-workers, but also her friends. Kim has many fond memories of the time spent with her Janjer family.
Kim met her fiancé, Bruce Trafton, 19 years ago. They enjoyed traveling together. One of their favorite memories is the 10-day cruise they went on in 2015. They also enjoyed doing puzzles and spending time with their beloved canine companions.
As a teenager, Kim was an accomplished equestrienne. She has always had a love for animals. A true child of the 60s, Kim loved rock music, going to concerts, and her Pontiac Firebird. Kim loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially on their vacations to the Outer Banks. Kim was a kindhearted, easy going, loving woman, who always made everyone feel welcomed and comfortable, like an old friend.
Kim was predeceased by her father Donald Roberts. She is survived by her mother Loretta Roberts, her brother Larry Roberts and his wife Heather Roberts and his son Alex Roberts, her aunt Sandra Williams and her family, and many other cousins and extended family members.
A visitation to pay respects and honor Kim's memory will be held on February 9, 2024, from 10 am to 11 am at Resthaven Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. (9501B Catoctin Mtn Hwy, Frederick MD 21701).
Following the visitation, a celebration of Kim's life will commence at 11 am, where her remarkable journey will be cherished by all who attend. The interment will take place at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum, where Kim will find eternal rest.
To embrace Kim's spirit of love and togetherness, her family kindly invites friends and loved ones to join them for food and fellowship in the Monocacy Lounge at Resthaven Funeral Home & Crematory immediately after the interment.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Kim's memory to be made to the ASPCA.
