Dotlasky
Mrs. Dorsey was my next-door neighbor growing up and the mother of my best friends — but she was so much more than that to me. I loved her dearly.
One of my many memories is when we insisted we wanted to hike to the Mason-Dixon Line. Instead of dismissing our silly plan, she listened and humored us. After much pleading, she agreed to take us — and wisely brought us to a local park with a stream and plenty of space to explore. To us, it felt like an adventure.
That was who she was. She listened with respect, never judged, and never turned us away. Her kindness shaped my childhood in ways I’ll always be grateful for. I will carry those memories with me forever.
