Hazel Ann Gardner's Obituary
Hazel Ann Gardner (née Stallard) passed away peacefully on August 12, 2024, at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Gardner Sr.; her son, David Gardner; and her granddaughter, Tara.
Hazel is survived by her daughter Darlene and husband Tom; daughter Ruth and husband Steve; son William Jr. and wife Kim; daughter Cindy and husband Patrick; and daughter-in-law Mary. She also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Hazel retired from Springfield Hospital, where she served as both a dental assistant and an occupational therapist. Beyond her professional life, she was a devoted wife, mother, and "Granny," known for her loving and generous nature. Hazel was a remarkable caregiver, always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.
Active in her community, Hazel taught exercise classes at the local senior center and volunteered her time with Scouts and the Winfield Fire Department's fundraising efforts. She found joy in quilting and appreciated the simple pleasure of a proper tea.
A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., located at 9501B Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, MD 21701. A funeral service will begin promptly at 12 p.m., with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
