George William Bennett, Sr., of Buckingham’s Choice, Adamstown and formerly of Mt. Airy, MD passed away quietly on August 21, 2024, at Buckingham’s Choice Retirement Community. He was 92. George was born on 22 June 1932 in Nemaco Read Obituary
I met and knew George and some family members many years ago. He was great friends with my late wife, Linda Eckman Watts. My company also managed George Juniors home back in the 1980s. Great family. God bless to all. I'm confident George and my Linda are now at peace and happy.

I had the pleasure of working with George after his official retirement from NSA, both at the NSA Archives and at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), where he worked for 10 years as a Relevance Assessor on the TREC project. I appreciated his sunny disposition and also his advice on vegetable gardening, such as, "Don't transplant before the ground warms up, because the plants will just shiver."

George and Shirley have been dear friends for many years. We have so many fond memories of our times spent with them and their family. George loved and was very proud of his Loved Ones. He had a lively sense of humor that sparked so many conversations. He shared a wealth of funny stories and we loved it when he would reminisce about his earlier days. We were so very fortunate to have known George and Shirley.
