It's been hard for me...leaving condolences for uncle Don. He was there for me when his eldest brother, my father, passed away. We talked for a long time. He was in the same situation when his father Charles passed. Don... I miss playing cards with you, I miss looking at sharks teeth from the Carolina coast (I still have them and kids that visit my house want them bc they're so cool), and I always remember your kind words... And how much you loved your brother... My dad. RIP Don... You were a great brother and uncle.

Don was the living meaning of a gentleman. When I saw him at Glade Valley Golf Course, or at your home, he was always very cordial and welcoming. When I play golf at Glade, I always think about how beautiful the course looked when Don was in charge of the flowers and shrubbery. He had a special touch! His memory will live on in all the lives he has touched. He was a model Christian with his quiet voice and his compassion for all he met. He will be missed. He will not be forgotten.

So sorry to learn of Don's death. As a 20 year member of MISGA at Glade Valley, I met him when he joined there and played golf with him many times. I always enjoyed his company. My deepest sympathies to his family.

Don was a wonderful man. I met him at my brother-in-laws funeral (Bill Foster). He was so helpful with his children Stephen, Nancy and Amy Foster. He was a kind and quiet spirit. My condolences are with the entire family.

My brother-in-law, Don, was an example to all of us for his enthusiasm for family, work, and community. For over 50 years I have observed the evolution of his life and the extraordinary character he developed. He cherished his beloved Travella, and expressed such love for all the children and the generations that followed. The family gave him so much joy. I know he will be terribly missed by all of us, but we know positively he is in a good place and we will forever have the example of his kindliness, fellowship, and good nature to guide us along our journies. May comfort and healing come to all who knew and love him.

So sorry to hear about Don's passing. We moved to Wichita about the same time as Don and Shirley. Don and I enjoyed many Saturday's of golf.
