CAPT Dave 'Igor' Meadows, Cryptologist - a Cold Warrior par excellence, masterfully broke the code of Human Nature. Through his deep understanding of HUMOR, and an overabundance of Empathic 'sympatico' for fellow Earth-travelers, Igor held the World by its proverbial Gabriel's Horns.
It is with GREAT Appreciation that we Sailors who had the Treasured Fortune of Befriending and Knowing Igor SALUTE, ONE FINAL TIME, this true Paragon of Military Virtue, the Embodiment of our United States Navy Motto:

I will always remember the times you flew aboard the USS Saratoga. The time you came out to the ball field in Athens, then you showed me the town after the game.
I loved the fact that a character in your books was from Newnan, Georgia.
Karen still tells stories from Western High School.
I can only imagine the stories you are telling to St. Peter.

David and I grew up together. We went first thru 12th grade and graduated together at Western High School. I am so sorry for the families loss and offer my sincerest thoughts and prayers for you.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dave years ago at the American Legion Post in Frederick. I worked there and he was a member there. He was always so nice to me and everyone there. I did enjoy his jokes and pranks. Sending prayers ti his family. R.I.P. Igor.
I knew David when he worked at the Alamo Theater in Newnan, GA, he was such a nice guy that always looked out for our group of teenage girls that went to the movies on a regular basis and I knew he would go far in life. Rest in peace my kind friend from many years ago.
