I knew Danny through the amputee support group after my husband lost his leg to cancer in 2013. Danny was a bright spot in all the amputee group meetings -- down to earth, friendly and welcoming.
He always had a smile, even though he was also often suffering physical pain. I admired his spirit and his dedication to helping fellow amputees navigate the challenges of limb loss.
Danny will be very much missed, and my sincere condolences to all his loved ones.

Danny’s first time fishing again, after losing his leg!
From Pelican Pete’s, sharing stories of our twins, to fishing together, and working together (he was my boss!), and then becoming “housemates”, as he healed after losing his leg, and other surgeries, to sharing families and grandchildren, from East to West…so many memories, and so much growth in both of our lives. Danny would say I did do much for him, but he did so much for me. We had a beautiful friendship of “give and give”, and he is truly the very best guy friend I have ever known. I still haven’t come to terms with losing him, and I look forward to seeing him in Heaven.
