Cecilia Marie Logan, age 77, passed away peacefully at her home in Frederick, Maryland, on July 17, 2024, with her family by her side. Known affectionately as Celie, she was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Read Obituary
I cannot express how sad that I am about my good friend and sister in law’s passing. She and I were friends for at least 70 years. We had so much fun in junior and senior high school. The teachers loved us. They especially loved Celie because she was so smart. We also had fun going boating, going to the beach, working together at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, and just hanging out. We always joked about the fact that she was older than me—by one day. She was a wonderful lady. She was kind, patient, and fun-loving. She loved her family. She was so proud of her two great kids. , My friend Carole and I went to lunch with Celie in early June. When we hugged goodbye that day, I did not think that it would be the last time that I saw her. But when she walked away, she seemed so sad and forlorn. It made me very sad. I will miss her. Rest in peace my dear friend and sister-in-law (we were married to brothers). I love you. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
Juanita and I were so sad to hear of Cecilias passing. We came to be good friends with her. We were neighbors while she was living in Crestwood. Many times we would walk over to her place and just sit and chat for hours. She was a very special lady and we will truly miss her. R.I.P our dear friend.
To the Family, My heart is heavy. Cecilia was in my life as a friend and next door neighbor for only a short time. She was a wonderful person and neighbor and she loved her family so much and was so proud of each of them. I will miss her "coming out to play" and having a glass of wine in the evenings and having discussions of the day's and current events while sitting in the "tundra".
