Leisha Dawn
Beverly Winther will always be fondly remembered as Mrs. Shook to me. She was the lovely mother of my best friend, Kathy. We children all grew up together as neighbors on Harrisville Road. Mrs. Shook had an elegant and gracious nature who always wore a smile on her face. She was committed to her family, friends and neighbors. She always made me feel special and welcomed in her home. One summer she invited me to go on a family camping trip to Shads Landing. It was my first real experience camping and it will always be a cherished memory. Mrs. Shook was a loving mother, role model and a dedicated homemaker to her children, Leigh, David, Kathy and Michelle. She also dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. When I think of her these descriptors come to mind: full of warmth and grace, stylish and elegant, amiable and kind-hearted, a master homemaker who was actively engaged with her family and friends, and a special lady with a real social presence. Her life was well- lived…and she was well-loved. May her beautiful soul rest in peace.
