I’ve known Allison for close to 30 years. She always had something fun or encouraging to share. And she always made time to listen, regardless of what she was going through. There are so many memories – exercising with Days of Our Lives playing in the background, pictures of family vacations. One memory, though, I will never forget. Some years ago, my family risked losing everything on a business venture. In the thick of it, when I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, Allison sensed something was wrong and when I confided in her, she told me, “Martha, you and your family will always have a home. You all come move in with us.” Things turned around and we landed on our feet, but I will never forget her generous offer, her kindness, her genuine caring for others, and what comfort she gave me knowing that I had such a friend. Allison, to be a friend such as you have been. I miss you greatly and know you can hear me on the other side, so I thank you! Thank you for all the memories, all the fun times. Thank you for sharing and shining your love, light and life on us all.
