Mr. Willie Hackshaw Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Willie Hackshaw, Jr., 63, of Boonsboro, passed away peacefully at home on March 17, 2023. He was the loving husband of Juanita Hackshaw, his wife of 30 years.
Born May 18, 1959 in Brooklyn, NY, Willie was the son of the late Willie, Sr. and Lucille Hackshaw and stepson of Joyce Hackshaw of Georgia. He earned his Associate’s Degree from Queens Borough Community College and worked for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement in November 2022. Cars were his passion, and he loved the outdoors and bicycle riding. He was an avid tennis player and also enjoyed bowling, especially with his mother. He was a big kid at heart.
In addition to his loving wife, Juanita, Mr. Hackshaw is survived by his three children, Rayvone Hackshaw, Stefanie Hackshaw and Stefan Hackshaw; siblings Janice Hackshaw-Tatum, Alvin Hackshaw, Bendy Hackshaw, Sharon Hackshaw, William Hackshaw and Ayanna Hackshaw; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his sister Karren Hackshaw-McPhatter.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25th from 12 – 2 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home & Community Center, 9501 B Catoctin Mountain Hwy. in Frederick, where a funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Live plant tributes are welcome, or donations may be made to the Glioblastoma Foundation (glioblastomafoundation.org).
