William Blase Ruble's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of William Blase Ruble on January 9, 2024. Born on February 3, 1944, he was the son of the late Louis H Ruble and Mary T Ruble nee Willett.
William was a devoted husband to Nancy Ruble, his loving wife. Together, they shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was a dedicated father to Billy, Ted and his wife, Tabitha and Mary Louise, grandfather to Reagan and Landon, we know that he loved them deeply. Bill is also survived by his brother, James Ruble and his wife Gwen, many nieces, nephews their spouses and their children and grandchildren.
Bill also leaves behind his church family at Frederick Church of the Brethren whom he loved dearly and shared his devotion with the lord. Many people with whom Bill worked with from the Texas Grill, owned by Cousin Danny Bromley and his wife Teddy will mourn his passing. He leaves a void in the hearts of co-workers and customers alike at the Cracker Barrel in Frederick, where he brought joy to those he met.
Bill was a member of the Umpire Association, working with children and adult recreational baseball teams. Through his passion he coached kids and their families with Allen and Dawna Keyser. Eventually, Bill earned the reputation of knowing every rule in the book and was always fair. He touched so many lives in so many different ways.
He will be especially missed by the staff and residents of the two retirement communities, Country Meadows and Acts at Buckingham's Choice, where he was a driver.
One of William's passions in life was sports, and he was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins, the Washington Nationals and the Baltimore Orioles. He cheered on his favorite teams with enthusiasm and enjoyed being a part of the game day excitement.
A funeral service to honor William's life will be held on January 22, 2024, at 11 am at Resthaven Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in the peaceful surroundings of Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family is gratefully accepting donations to help offset funeral expense. The support and kindness received will be deeply appreciated.
William Blase Ruble will be greatly missed by all who knew him. May he find eternal peace, and may his cherished memories forever be a source of comfort and strength for his loved ones.
