Virginia C. Dayhoff , 81, of Thurmont, MD passed away peacefully at home Saturday, September 3, 2016, with her daughter by her side. She was the wife of the late Eddie Dayhoff. Born March 24, 1935 in Thurmont, MD she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Ola E. Anders Miller. Virginia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her many animals. She was an avid gardener, flower and bird enthusiast, loved to read, crochet, and color. She will be fondly remembered by many special friends and "Buds". She is survived by her son David Dayhoff, Sr., two daughters Tammy Harman and husband Bob and Debi Sites and husband Bill; grandchildren Scott Dayhoff and wife Carla, David Dayhoff, Jr. and wife Rachel and Aaron Dayhoff and wife Caitlyn; great-grandchildren Lotus and Scarlette; brother-in-law Guy Dayhoff, nephews Wayne Dayhoff and wife Becky and Tyrone Dayhoff and wife Dana. The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main St., Thurmont on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 10-11AM where a service will begin at 11AM. Pastor Sally Joyner-Giffin will officiate. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Frederick Co. ASPCA or the Hospice of Frederick Co.
