Toni Ann Holste's Obituary
Toni Ann Holste, 62, of Frederick, MD, was born into this world on February 22, 1963 and was called home on Thursday, June 19, 2025 after a long illness. She was the loving daughter to the late Oscar Perry Johnson, and Catherine Rebecca Andrews Johnson. She was the loving wife of Robert J. Holste of Frederick, MD, and adoring mother to her children: son Robert M. Holste and wife Kirsten of Monrovia, MD, daughter Christina Holste and son Timothy Holste, both of Frederick, MD.
Toni spent her life helping others. Her immense amount of empathy and compassion was evident in her work as an addictions counselor and working as a Physicians Coordinator at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Toni gave her all to not only those she loved, but those in need as well as complete strangers. She would light up any room with her spirit, and the pure goodness in her heart. Toni always wore a smile and offered kind words to everyone around her. Toni spent the last 12 years of her life unable to work due to her chronic health issues, but she never complained and continued to stay positive and hopeful for the future. With her dog Daisy by her side, she would engage family and friends with jokes, stories and memories. She was a true joy to all she encountered.
Toni was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Catherine Johnson. Toni is survived by her family as well as brothers; Perry Johnson and wife Ann, of Las Vegas, NV, Michael Johnson and wife Janette, of Silver Spring, MD, and Jeff Johnson and wife Nolie, of Funkstown, MD, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her family will receive loved ones, family, and friends at the Resthaven Chapel 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy, Frederick, MD, 21701 on Thursday June 26, 2025 From 12 noon to 1pm. Services will immediately follow. There will be a gathering for family and friends at the conclusion of the graveside ceremony. Please send flowers, as that was one of Toni’s favorite things.
