I shall remember my Cousin Tom as a strong, yet gentle man who has set a wonderful example of what we all love to see a Man become: Good, Humble and Kind. He was honest and straightforward. He grew up with that old-fashioned mindset to be the best that you can be. He had a wonderful ability to be succinct in his writing. Tom could sum up what he wanted to say in the fewest amount of words, yet cover all the pertinent points. He felt a sense of responsibility to do all he could to make things happen for the good. Tom is two months younger, yet he treated me as if he was my Big Brother. We have kept in touch through the years. Yet, I was not aware of all the positions he held in various organizations throughout his interesting, busy life. We knew of his long suffering. And his work was done. How many of us can say that? When I learned he was called Home on Easter Sunday Morning, my thought was, What a wonderful time to go to Heaven! Imagine the Joy of that Celebration. My prayers are with Deloris, Brenda, Brett and Donna and their families as they must find their way through the grief of the loss of this loving presence each day; this one who has looked after each of them all their lives.
