Thomas William Wachter, Jr., 54 years, of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, passed away at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown on January 11, 2018. He was born on November 3, 1963 in Frederick. Thomas was the first born son to Thomas (Doc) Wachter, Sr. and Frani Jackson Wachter, of Lewistown, Maryland. Thomas is survived by his wife, Cathy Wachter; sons, Justin and Tyler Wachter; daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Bobby Bowers; brother, Darren Wachter, Sr. and wife, Letitia; sister, Tammy and husband, Curtis Turner. Tammy was very special to her brother, Tommy. She was a friend, caregiver, and a wonderful, loyal, and loving sister. Also survives Tommy is his mother-in-law, Shirley Darnell. Tommy was a very friendly and funny person who had a joke for everyone who loved his family very much. He loved his motorcycle. On June 24, 2017, Thomas was very happy to attend his daughter's wedding. He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Buck and Edna Wachter of New Market and Chester Stone of Yellow Springs; maternal grandmother, Bessie V. Jackson; and numerous cousins, aunt and uncles. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 15, 2018. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens on Route 15 in Frederick. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lewistown Volunteer Fire Company, 11101 Hessongs Bridge Road, Frederick, Maryland, 21701.
