Obituary
Thomas Winfield Scott, 59, of Brunswick passed away on Friday, June 10th. Born on August 21, 1956 to the late Winfield Thomas and Hilda Elizabeth Scott. After graduating from Brunswick High in 1974, Thomas served in the U.S. Navy until 1977. He was a loving brother and uncle, as well as a friend to all. As an avid Redskin fan, he always had a smile on his face. He was a man who was very talkative and fun to be around, as many knew him to be a jokester. He is survived by his brothers and sisters; Gary Scott and wife Dorothy, Sharon Diggs, Barbara Scott, Maurice Scott, and Fay Scott and fiancAC. Alfred Spriggs. And numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents; James Robert and Kathleen Gilbert Lipscomb and Brother-in-law; Albert Diggs. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 17th from 11 am to 1 pm at the Historical Chapel at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick where a going home service will begin at 1 pm with Rev. Jonathan Davis and Rev. Kaye Coates officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Garden of Veterans II at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
