Thomas Edward Nash Jr., age 69, of Frederick, died unexpectedly Thursday, November 30 at his home, of natural causes. Born February 1, 1948 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Thomas E. and Evelyn Boone Nash. Mr. Nash was a 1966 graduate of St. John's High School, Frederick. Following graduation he joined the Air Force, serving in Germany. He worked for more than 40 years and retired from Geico. Tommy was a dedicated Platelet donor, donating for over 20 years to John Hopkins Hospital. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, photography and reading. He especially enjoyed spending time with his best bud, Bruz. Surviving are siblings, John M. Nash and wife Pat of Keymar, Nancy J. Brown of Frederick, William D. Nash and wife Barbara of Walkersville; and nieces and nephews, Kendall, Teasha, David, Jarrett and Lemuel. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Vicki L. Nash Prince in October 2017. The family will receive friends at Hartzler Funeral Home-Libertytown, 11802 Liberty Rd., Frederick on Monday, December 11 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Rev. Jerry Cline will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
