Mr. Thomas Stanley "Tom" Doolittle, Sr., 55, of Emmitsburg died suddenly on Saturday, November 14, 2015. He was the loving boyfriend to Dana Valentine. Born April 27, 1960 in Prince George's County, he was the son of Ellen Marie (Maguire) and Evan Stanley Doolittle, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC. He was self-employed and worked in the Frederick and Carroll County areas. Tom enjoyed fishing, cars, working on his truck, and, most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving in addition to his mother and father are three children, April Doolittle and fiancAC., Ken Sims Jr., of Harpers Ferry, WV; Christine Doolittle and husband, Bryan Schackert, of Baltimore; and Tommy Doolittle, Jr., and girlfriend, Abbey Rose Raymond, of Martinsburg, WV; three grandchildren, Samantha (D-daughter), Cameron, and Mackenzie; a sister, Susan A. Doolittle of Mt. Airy; a brother, David Doolittle of Myrtle Beach; his grandmother, Ellen A. Rabbitt of Frederick; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, including his cousin, Timmy. Tom will be greatly missed by all. He will be remembered by his former wife, Mary Doolittle. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 19th from the funeral home with Pastor Ernie Knight officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
