Obituary
Thomas R. Crowe, 90, formerly of Queens, New York and Wayne, N.J., passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018, in Frederick, Maryland. He was born in the Woodside neighborhood of Queens, New York, on September 4, 1927. He graduated from St. Francis College in 1951 with a B.A. degree, and St. John's University Law School where he earned a J.D. in 1953. Tom served in the U.S. Navy for two years during WWII. Tom spent most of his career as in-house counsel with the Legal Department of ITT Corporation. Subsequently, he worked as corporate counsel at U.S. subsidiaries of British Telecommunications plc. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Constance M. Crowe, of Frederick, Maryland; his three children, Thomas K. Crowe of Miami, Florida, Kevin R. Crowe of Gaithersburg, Maryland, and Terence C. Crowe and his wife, Lisa Crowe, of Long Valley, New Jersey; and his sister Julia Crowe of Holmdel, New Jersey. Tom is also survived by his two grandchildren, Brian and Rachel. Tom's hidden talents extended to painting, sketching and wood carving. He enjoyed early evening basketball games with his sons and relished Pines Lake in Wayne, New Jersey. A funeral service will take place at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, April 18th at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 N in Frederick, MD. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
