Thomas Howard Calderwood, 82, of Walkersville, MD, passed away on February 1, 2018 at UPMC Pinnacle West Shore in Mechanicsburg, PA. He was the husband of Carol Ann Calderwood (Shore), his wife of 62 years. Born in Altoona, PA, Thomas was the son of the late Charles and Hilda (Dull) Calderwood. Thomas graduated in 1954 from McKinley Tech in Washington, DC and went to work for C&P Telephone the same year. He worked for C&P Telephone his entire career, retiring in 1991. He also enjoyed woodworking, spending time outdoors, and trips to his beach house at Ocean City. In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Calderwood is survived by three children, Michael T. Calderwood (Dr. Colleen), Jean Bindl (Bill), and Stephen Calderwood (Meggen); a brother, James A. Calderwood, Esq. (Dr. Joyce Johnson); three grandchildren, Edward J. Bindl (Courtney), Kimberly Dietrich (Todd), and Michael S. Calderwood; three great-grandchildren, Daniel, Mikayla, and Hazel; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8th from 11:00 AM - 12:00 Noon at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 N in Frederick, where a funeral service will take place at 12:00 Noon on Thursday. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
