Mrs. Thelma Frances (Rabold) Hardt, 87, of Frederick, passed away peacefully at Kline Hospice House on January 3, 2017, She was the wife of the late David W. Hardt, who passed Dec. 11, 2014.Born July 29, 1929 in Irwin, PA, Thelma was the daughter of the late George and Edith Rabold. She graduated from Mars High School in Mars, PA at the top of her class in 1947, and worked for a number of years as a secretary. In the 1970's she worked as a playground monitor at Pine Elementary School in Gibsonia, PA. Thelma and David were charter members of the Auto Go Campers Camping Club beginning in 1964. They were active members until 2003, and Thelma served in all offices within the club.Mrs. Hardt is survived by her son, Lee Hardt & wife Deb; three grandchildren, David III, Ashlee, and Benjamin; a brother, George Rabold; a sister, Anna Kasperski; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives. She was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Rabold.A graveside service will be held privately for the family. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 14th at Frederick Baptist Church, 5305 Mt. Zion Rd., Frederick, MD 21703, with luncheon to follow. The Rev. John Seay will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Frederick Baptist Church Building Fund at the above address.
