Obituary
Mr. Stephen Michael Gallagher, 65, of Frederick, passed away on May 7, 2016 at Georgetown University Medical Center after a valiant battle with cancer. He was the husband of Jean Gallagher, whom he married Oct. 14, 1995. Born in Washington DC, he was the son of the late Martin and Rita Gallagher. Stephen graduated from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School and worked as a building engineer for Complete Building Services. Mr. Gallagher was preceded in death by his son, Stephen M. Gallagher, Jr. Surviving, in addition to his loving wife, are a daughter, Zuly Schoeppner (Lee); six siblings, Martin William Gallager, Jr. (William Stryler), Timothy J. Gallagher (Cathy), Kevin J. Gallagher (Suzanne), Margaret E. Colbert (Ed), Sheila M. Convis (Dan), and Kathleen G. Johnson (Andrew); two grandchildren, Alexandra Gallagher and Andrew Gallagher; two stepsons, Shawn Patrick Dale and Michael Ray Dale; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 10th at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 N in Frederick. Attendees are encouraged to wear green.
