To Friends and Family of Stephen Casserly,
Stephen Joseph Casserly, 80, of Walkersville, Maryland, entered eternal rest on March 21, 2026. Born September 1945 in Massachusetts, Stephen lived a life marked by service, dedication, and a deep appreciation for the relationships he built over the years.
Stephen proudly served in the United States Army and was a graduate of Newbury College in Brookline, Massachusetts. He went on to build a successful career as a technical salesman within the engineering field where he was known as a steady, trusted leader who cared deeply about people and took pride in doing things the right way. Beyond his service and professional accomplishments, he had a gift for bringing people together, maintaining lifelong friendships from his high school years, his professional life, and his family. He will be remembered as thoughtful and charming, with a remarkable ability to encourage others, even in difficult times.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Lee Casserly. He is survived by his son, Carl Casserly; his brother, Michael Casserly; and his two grandchildren, Sierra and Ava Casserly.
The family invites friends and family to a memorial gathering to celebrate Stephen’s life on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, MD 21701. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM with the service immediately following from 11:00 AM -12:00 PM.
