Obituary
Stephen Boswell, Jr., 89, of Frederick passed away on Friday, February 26th. He was the devoted husband of the late Helen Mae Boswell for 69 years. He was born on July 4, 1926 in Catonsville, Maryland to the late Stephen, Sr. and Gertrude Boswell. Upon graduation from high school Stephen went into the Army Air Corps, after completing his tour he went to work for Ox Fiber Brush Company of Frederick in 1946. After five years he began a 38 year career with C&P Telephone before retiring in 1989. He is survived by Step-brother; Ervin "Al" Laumann. Sister-in-law; Dolores Stone. Nephews; Stephen, Calvin, Grayson, and David Cannon, and Donald Stone. Niece; Barbara Fisher. And numerous great nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by his sister; Rosetta (Dolly) Cannon, and brother-in-laws; Norman Stone and Carroll Cannon. A memorial gathering will take place on Tuesday, March 1st from 7 to 9 PM at the Resthaven Historical Chapel, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick where a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 2nd at 11 AM, with Pastor Karin Albaugh officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Garden of Christus IV at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
