Shirley A Lawson's Obituary
Shirley A. Lawson, age 81, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on May 12, 2023.
Born August 19, 1941, in Frederick, Maryland. Daughter of the late Austin and Ethel Thomas. She was a lifetime member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. Shirley was a wonderful homemaker; gardener and she was very devoted to her family.
Shirley is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Perry (Jim) Lawson Jr; daughter; Debra A. Purdy (Steven); son, Perry (Jimmy) Lawson III; grandchildren, Chris Purdy, Justin Purdy, Stephanie Lawson, and Hayley Cross (Andrew); great grandchildren, Devon Purdy and Cayden Purdy. She is also survived by many brothers in laws, sister in laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by sister, Patsy Harding.
Visitation will be held on May 23, 2023, beginning at 10 am at Resthaven Funeral Home & Crematory Inc, 9501 B Catoctin Mtn Hwy, Frederick MD 21701, with services beginning at 12 pm. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mtn Hwy, Frederick MD 21701.
Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Shirley Lawson to Kline Hospice House in Mt. Airy, MD.
