Mrs. Sheila Anzalone's Obituary
Mrs. Sheila (Taylor) Anzalone, 95 of Frederick, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2023 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the loving wife of Peter M. Anzalone, who passed in January 2000.
Born June 26, 1927 in Aberdeen, Scotland, Sheila was the daughter of John Watson Taylor and Henrietta Fleming Taylor. At an early age she moved with her family to Southgate, London. She met her future husband, Peter who was stationed in London during WW II. After the war ended they moved to Queens, New York and eventually to Long Island. Many years later they relocated to Walkersville, MD.
Sheila lived independently in Frederick for twenty-three years and had just recently moved into Country Meadows Independent Living program. There she had friends, made new friends and enjoyed everyone and settled into her new surroundings.
Her hobbies included knitting and many winter hats were donated to several organizations within Frederick. She also developed into quite the artist after taking water color painting classes at the Frederick Senior Center.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Anzalone was preceded in death by her brother, John (Jack) Taylor. She is survived by two children, Susan Mulvihill & husband Richard and Peter L. Anzalone; five grandchildren, Keith Mulvihill & wife Nicole, Amanda Walther & husband Jay, Alexandra Anzalone & Clayton DeFranca, Elizabeth Carns & husband Ryan, and Peter Taylor Anzalone; nine great-grandchildren, Jackson Mulvihill, Lucy Mulvihill, Dylan Mulvihill, Jack Walther, Olivia Walther, Carson Bohn, Lizaveta DeFranca, Maximus DeFranca, and Arlo Carns.
