In Loving Memory of Sharon Sue Sparks
Sharon Sue Sparks, 78, of Damascus, Maryland, passed away peacefully in her home on March 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She left behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Sharon was born on July 24, 1945, in Johnson City, Tennessee, to Carrie Godsey Wiseman and George W. Wiseman. She is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, Charles Sparks, her loving children Angela Frankenberger, Michael Sparks, Christy Castro and husband Eddie, Kelly Jones and husband Paul, and Stacey Clemmer, her grandchildren Jimmy Frankenberger and wife Annie, Charlie Frankenberger, Steven Sparks, Justin Sparks, Katie Bilbrey and wife Jennifer, as well as her great-grandson James Michael Frankenberger, Jr (JJ). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends who adored her.
Sharon had an immense passion for life and was always ready for a good time. She and her husband were esteemed members of the Montgomery Country Club, where Sharon, an avid golfer, accumulated more trophies than her closet could hold. She cherished the outdoors and delighted in teaching her grandsons the joys of hunting and fishing. Sharon's kitchen was a place of warmth and joy, where she would gather with family and friends to share laughter and create the most delicious southern dishes.
Known for hosting the best gatherings, the Sparks home was a place filled with love and hospitality. Sharon lived life to the fullest and was lovingly known as "Nana" not only to her grandchildren but to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Visitation will be held on April 3, 2024, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home & Crematory Inc, 9501 B Catoctin Mtn Hwy, Frederick, MD 21701. A funeral service will follow on April 4, 2024, at 11 amat Resthaven Funeral Home & Crematory Inc, with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Celebration of Life luncheon will be held on Thursday, April 4th, 2024 at 1 pm at The Amvets Post 2, 702 E. South St. Frederick, Md 21701.
Sharon Sue Sparks will always be remembered for her vibrant spirit, unwavering love, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness. May she rest in peace.
