Shannon Nicole Hann, 34, of Frederick, MD, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. She was born on May 18, 1982, in Ft. Polk, LA. Shannon graduated with the Class of 2000 from Gov. Thomas Johnson High School. After graduating Shannon worked in the mortgage field for some time, when she then decided to pursue a career in nursing. She went on to obtain her CNA/GNA & flourished in the field. Helping others was always a passion of hers; She loved nursing and working with the elderly. She related best with Alzheimer's patients due to her close relationship with her grandfather, Albert Luhn. Shannon also joined the US Armed Forces for a brief time, before being medically discharged. Shannon's life revolved around her children, family, and friends. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting & spending time with friends & family, being the best mother she could be, and doing anything in her power to help others, even if it meant she went without. She had the eyes of an angel and a laugh that was utterly contagious. Shannon will be remembered for her huge heart and endless compassion. She had an uncanny ability of reaching people in a deep & positive way. Her life was changed forever on Dec. 4th 2013 when she welcomed her twins into the world; From that moment forward her children were the most precious thing to her in this world. Shannon was such a strong-willed, intelligent, caring, forgiving, & fun loving person; who brightened the ` lives of everyone she knew. Shannon loved all kinds of music, & singing karaoke; She had the most incredible voice! Shannon was an extremely talented artist, painting & drawing were her specialties. She was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, and avid animal lover. Shannon was also known for her impeccable homemaking and cooking skills. Shannon leaves to cherish her loving memory her twins, a son Nikolai Lee Hann, & daughter Natalia AnnMarie Hann. Also surviving are parents Brett Hann and Sherri Smith (William); beloved siblings Brittany Luhn (David Keeney), Ashlee Grossnickle (Hann), Brett Hann II, and Matthew Hann; niece and nephews Karter Keeney, Brantley & Paisley Grossnickle; as well as numerous cousins, aunts & uncles. ""Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not""; we will carry Shannon's memory in our hearts for eternity. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 20, 2016 starting at 2pm prior to a memorial service to be held at 3pm, The Reverend Watts officiating, at the Grace Episcopal Church, at 5740 Green Valley Rd., New Market, MD 21774. There will be a reception to follow at Kemptown Park, Shelter 4, 3456 Kemptown Church Road, Monrovia, MD 21770. A burial service will be held at 2pm, on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mtn. Hwy, Frederick, MD 21701. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family on August 20, 2016 at the memorial service. The family wishes to thank the Salvation Army, the Grace Episcopal Church, and everyone that donated to help make this possible! .
