Mrs. Savithramma Gonchigar, 85, of Bellary, India, died peacefully on March 26, 2023, at the home of her son Mruthyunjaya Gonchigar in Potomac, Maryland. Savithramma was born in Malyam Village in Rayadurgam Taluk in the Anantapur Read Obituary
I first met Ajji around 2010 or so when she first came to the US to visit my brother-in-law Jay. Since then, I have met her on a couple of other occasions during her US trips. My interactions with her have left an indelible impression on my mind- right from the get go, she made me feel at ease and at home with her warmth, friendliness and sincerity. I saw a disciplined and hard working person, who well into her 70's when I met her, was always on her feet, busy with a chore or two. Her advice was practical and I could see the intelligence and experience behind it. She lived for others and even two weeks before her death, although she was very frail, she wanted to show me how to make a spice mix! She is a role model to aspire to be like with her resiliency, generosity and friendliness. I feel blessed to have known her and feel grateful to have had the opportunity to be with her on the last day before she passed. May her soul rest in peace!!

Words cannot fully express the pain and sorrow that comes with losing someone so dear to us. However, please know that her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
We will forever remember the positive energy she used to radiate to everyone around her. She was a kind woman, with a cheerful smile. I will never forget the culinary skills of her. My mother misses the quality time they spent together.

Brave & strong women i have never seen in my life. Great Cook, prepares delicious food. Ajji used to call me whenever she prepares Dosa. As a tenent in her house at Ballari i have seen both Ajjji & Tatha very closely. I her last days Ajji's wish was to stay with Mruthyunjaya uncle at USA. Happy that her wish was done. Miss you Ajji, Thank you for everything.
