Obituary
Mrs. Ruby Katherine Poulin, 92, of Boonsboro, passed away on March 8, 2018. She was the loving wife of the late Raymond J. Poulin for 60 years. Born March 15, 1925 she was a daughter of the late Jeremiah and Eva Lena (Johns) Huber. Ruby was the eighth of 10 siblings, and the last remaining survivor. She graduated from Dayton Vocational High School in Dayton, PA then attended DuBois Business College in DuBois, PA. She retired from Rotorex Compressors in Walkersville where she was an administrative assistant. During her free time, Ruby loved to vegetable garden with her husband and then canning, freezing or giving away the home grown produce. Her greatest joy was being a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed handcrafts and she made quilts for each of her children, knitting and crocheting items for premature babies and the elderly. Ruby loved to repair and refinish old oak furniture, pieces of which the family still has. She took great pride in her knowledge of spelling, grammar, punctuation and vocabulary, and was known to point out the errors she found. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Ruby is survived by her children Thomas Poulin and wife Freda, Elise Culler and husband Tim, and Phillip Poulin and wife Alice; Grandchildren Antony Poulin and wife Crystal, Michael Poulin, and Marcus Poulin; and Great-granddaughter Scarlett Poulin. She will be missed by two sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Neil Poulin and her nine siblings.
