Mr. Ruben Michael Warner's Obituary
With deep sorrow and heartfelt love, we announce the passing of Ruben Micheal “Mike” Warner. A devoted family man, Mike dedicated his life to providing for his loved ones with unwavering commitment and a strong work ethic that touched everyone who knew him. Mike was born on August 27, 1955, and passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with multiple health issues, on November 23, 2024, at Frederick Health Hospital. He was surrounded by his two beloved daughters, son-in-law, cherished grandchildren, and his life companion. He has now found true rest in the comforting embrace of our Lord.
Mike's vibrant personality and generous spirit left an indelible mark on everyone he met. His infectious humor, boundless acts of kindness, and ability to bring joy to any gathering made him unforgettable. Mike had a diverse range of talents spanning from construction, drywall, dairy farming, auto repair, scraping, and painting. Mike had a cherished passion for painting old barn roofs. One of his dreams was to paint the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, which he never got to fulfill. His multifaceted skills allowed him to excel in various jobs, ultimately enriching his life's journey. Mike would often work his main job and then do several side jobs at a time so that his family was taken care of and never in need of anything. He owned a painting company briefly during his midlife and this eventually led to him working on school rebuilds, until an injury led to his retirement forcing him to permanently hang up his hard hat. Mike in his later years, found contentment in tinkering with cars and pursuing his passion for scrap metal in which he took a lot of pride in.
Above all, Mike's love for his two daughters and seven grandchildren was the cornerstone of his life. Their presence kept his spirit alive, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Mike made sure his children, grandchildren and everyone that knew him knew the love he had for his two daughters and grandchildren. He would make time to stop and let them know he loved and adored them even on the hardest of days and he would walk through fire and back for all of them. Mike found joy in fishing, gambling, spending time at the local auto shop with guys, and bringing smiles to those around him with his jokes and good nature.
Mike's memory will be treasured by his two daughters Christina “Kristi” Snurr and her husband Wayne, and Angela “Angie” Hahn and her husband Jeremy, all from Thurmont, MD. His grandchildren, Chance Thompson, Chad “Buddy” Thompson, Alexis “Lexi” Snurr, Madison “Madi” Snurr, Cole Hahn, Carly Hahn, and Mason Snurr, who will carry forward his legacy of love and laughter. Special friends John Gregory and Bruce Kelley, as well as his companion Beverly Crampton and her granddaughter Victoria Holmes, will also hold Mike close in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Martha Warner, his brother Christopher Warner, sisters Lucille Clutter, Vanessa Hiltner and Maryjane Hooper, and nephews Robert and Walter Martin.
