Rose Mary Lindsay's Obituary
Rose Mary Lindsay of Falling Waters, WV passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30th at home following an extended illness. She was the wife of the late Russell C. Lindsay formerly of Frederick.
Born on May 14, 1933 in Rochester, New York, Rose was the daughter of the late James Edwin Munger and Josephine Mary Koneski Adams also of Rochester.
After moving to Frederick in 1969, Rose held various jobs including the I-70 Truck Stop, Price Electric, and Solarex, but one of Rose’s favorite jobs was working at Glade Valley Farms where her passion for horses made her happiest. She and Russell re-located to Martinsburg, WV in the 90’s where they lived for many years.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Sharon Davis and husband Roger, daughter Cynthia Lindsay, son Kevin Lindsay, granddaughter Kate Gebert and husband Eric, and great grandson, Graham Gebert. She is also survived by cousin, Diane Bauman, niece Kris Ulgiati, nephew Anthony Ulgiati and wife Margo, and Lori Gorwaiz and husband Jeff, all of Rochester.
Rose’s hobbies included selling at flea markets with her husband, going to yard sales, antiquing, doing jigsaw puzzles, going to casinos and reading.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 8 th from 5-7 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, MD. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 9 th at 11 am. The family will receive friends from 10-11 am prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will also be held at Resthaven where she will join her husband Russell and Uncle Edward Koneski.
