Roscoe Meredith Grimes, Jr. of Frederick, Maryland, died Monday, January 8, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the devoted husband of Mary E. (Dinterman) Grimes. Born December 5, 1936 near Myersville, Maryland, he was the son of the late Roscoe M. Grimes, Sr. and Helen (Shepley) Grimes. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, LaSeille P. Willard (and husband Terry), and Mechelle E. Taccino (and devoted partner Darren Tressler), two grandsons, Bradley S.G. Willard (Kelly) and Kristofer L. Willard (Crystal), four great-grandchildren, Nathan, Nicholas, James and David, and daughters of Darren Tressler (April and Aspen). He was an electrician for most of his adult life. The family would like to give special thanks to all of his physicians, hospital staff, and Hospice of Frederick County, for their care and kindness. The family will receive friends at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 North, Frederick, MD, for the viewing and funeral service on Saturday, January 13th beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the James M. Stockman Cancer Institute, 1652 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702.
