Ronnie Eugene King, Sr., 56, of Mt. Airy, MD died suddenly on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. Born September 24, 1959 at Montgomery General Hospital in Olney, MD. He was the son of the late Melvin and Mildred King. He was the beloved husband of Brenda Lee King for 36 years. He owned and operated Handyman Construction Company. He also lent a helping hand and his skillful knowledge to anyone that needed him, whether it be mechanical, weather related, or just an ear. He was a master craftsman, inventor, advisor, and could always make you smile with his jokes. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, hunting, golfing, fishing, crabbing, racing his 1940 truck, riding his motorcycle, tinkering in the garage, and just enjoying life. Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters, Angela Marie King and Tabatha Lynn King and his son, Ronnie Eugene King, Jr. "RJ". Also surviving are his brothers, Melvin King, Carlton "Pookie" King, William King, and sisters, Ruby Howell, Peggy Daufeldt, Nancy Stokes, and Debbie Bennett. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert King. He was a great man and a loving husband, dad, brother, uncle, and friend. Relatives and friends may visit on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at the Roy W. Barber Funeral Home, 21525 Laytonsville Rd., Laytonsville, MD 20882, where funeral services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 11am.
