Mr. Ronald Lee Mercer, 51, of Frederick, MD, passed away on September 5, 2017 at home. Born January 1, 1966 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Leonard S., Sr. and Nellie Jean Mercer. Ronnie graduated from Frederick High School in 1984. He and his wife, Teresa A. Mercer, were married on November 16, 1994 in Frederick. Mr. Mercer worked as a painter at Wally's Iron Works in Mt. Airy for the past 14 years. He enjoyed Monster Truck Jam, camping, and cooking out with family. In addition to his wife, Mr. Mercer is survived by two daughters, Amanda Mercer and Michelle Barlet & husband Jamie; a son, Dennis Moberly, Jr., & wife Cheryl Moberly; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, four sisters, and many other friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 7th at the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 N in Frederick. Interment will be private. Floral tributes are welcome, or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the James M. Stockman Cancer Institute, 400 West 7th Street, Frederick, MD 21701.
