Robert Leroy White (Bob), 76, of Warfordsburg, PA, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown Maryland. Born April 19, 1941 in Frederick, Maryland, he attended Frederick High School then entered the U.S. Army in 1961 through 1969. He served 2 tours in Vietnam and was award The Bronze Star Medal along with other various military medals and awards. Bob was employee by Eastalco Aluminum Company from 1969 until his retirement in 1997. Bob was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, JoAnn Brubaker White, on September 3, 2012. He is survived by three children, Terri Goshorn (John) of Fairplay, MD; Robert White (Melissa) of Jefferson, MD; Dawn Lucier (Lee) of Clearwater, FL; son-in-law Gerald Walker, Jr. of Jefferson, MD; seven grandchildren, Heather Webber (Michael) of Hagerstown, MD, Kristina Hughes (Evan) of Hampstead, NC, Brooke Hagenbuch (Sean) of Raleigh, NC, Dallas and Danielle White of Jefferson, MD, Destanie Lucier of Clearwater, FL, Andrew Goshorn (Whitney) of York Haven, PA; six great grandchildren, Mikayla and Makynna Webber, Kailynne and Karter Hughes, Emmett Hagenbuch and Easton White. He is also survived by one brother Charles White (Carol) of Hagerstown, MD, brothers-in-law John Brubaker and Kenny Gissi of Fairplay, MD, sisters-in-law Doreen Forrest of Frederick, MD, Susan Brubaker of Sharpsburg, MD and Jeani Knight (Brad) of Saxis, VA and many nieces and nephews. Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved to hunt and enjoyed the peacefulness of the outdoors. The last few months, while battling cancer, Bob stayed with his daughter Terri and son-in-law John. While Terri was deployed for 6 months, John was Bob's devoted caregiver during his last few months along with brother-in-law Johnny. Visitation will be Friday, December 15th from 5-8pm at the Historical Chapel at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy (US 15N), Frederick, MD where funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, December 16th. Military Honors will follow in the Veterans Garden of Honor I at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Floral tributes are welcome or donations in Bob's memory may be made to the Martinsburg VA Medical Center, Voluntary Service, 510 Butler Avenue, Martinsburg, WV 25405.
