As a probationary firefighter Rab was the master firefighter at station 30-C where I began my career. He was always approachable and conversational. Two authentic Rab quotes were: (1)when asked by communication about his location his response was, frozen food section when shopping for shift dinner.(2) when a new LT. was assigned to our shift Rabs welcoming statement was, LT. I got more time on the shitter than you got in this department. Rab was the heart and sole of our shift. He was genuine and original. May his family find peace during this time, knowing that he positively influenced the lives he touched. Rest in heaven dear brother.
