Robert B. McCullough Jr's Obituary
Robert “Bob” B. McCullough, Jr. of Frederick, Maryland died peacefully on Tuesday, February 14. He was 87.
Bob was the devoted husband of 57 years to the late Dottie McCullough (nee Major); beloved father of Robert B. McCullough, III and Cheryl Richardson; dear father-in-law of the late Jay Richardson; loving grandfather of Kayla Gottschalk and her husband Andy, and Kyle Richardson.
Bob was born in Queens, NY but his most cherished times in childhood were spent in Hobe Sound, FL. He graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School in 1953 and was drafted into the Army where he met his wife Dottie and settled in Glen Burnie, MD to start a family.
Bob was the Insurance Manager for the Baltimore Sun for 35 years ultimately retiring in Frederick, MD where he enjoyed treasure hunting with his metal detector and spending time with family and friends.
Bob’s family extends their gratitude to the dedicated nurses and aides of Shepherd’s Staff, Hospice of Frederick County and Homewood Nursing Home for their exceptional care and kindness.
The family will be accepting visitors at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick, MD on February 20, 2023 from 1 pm to 2 pm with a service to follow. Interment will be at Resthaven Cemetery immediately following the services.
