Mr. Heaney found true love when he met Miss Sally T. Brennan in the late 1960s. The happy couple were married on October 26, 1969, and soon brought three bundles of joy into the world. He was always there to teach them important life lessons and made time to coach their sporting teams and help them grow. Or the family vacations he would take them on including hitching up the pop-up trailer to explore fun locations.
As an investigator for the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC), Robert spent many years traveling around the country to investigate financial fraud. However, he never allowed his career to take precedence over his family’s needs and special events. He always showed up with souvenirs in hand after a business trip.
In addition to being a devoted member of Derwood’s St. Francis of the Assisi church, Robert also served in various roles within the local fraternal order of the Knights of Columbus (including Grand Knight). Where he was involved in charitable work as well as helping Sally organize countless social events to bring his family and friends together to celebrate their special occasions in life.
