Mr. Ricky Fuss' Obituary
Ricky (Rick) Fuss, 61, of Frederick MD passed from this life February 25, 2025 at FHH.
He graduated in 1981 from Governor Thomas Johnson High School. He went on to enlist in the US Army from 1981-1987.
In 1997 he was married to Donna Crummitt at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick MD. They were married for 27 1/2 years.
Rick was a member of Steadman-Keenan Post 96, American Legion Brunswick MD where he held the positions of Past Commander, Judge Advocate and The American Legion Riders director. He was a member of the 40 & 8. Rick was also a member of the Frederick AMVETS Post 2.
Rick was a devoted father to his son Greg, who was a Frederick County Special Olympic athlete. Rick was a former coach with Special Olympics where he coached Flag Football and Basketball. He also coached for Challenger Little League Frederick MD.
Rick was preceded in death by his father Elmer Fuss and his father in law John Crummitt.
Rick leaves behind his beloved wife Donna, son Gregory and his life partner Amanda Burns. He also leaves behind his mother Donna Fuss and mother in law Karol Crummitt. Three sisters, Karen Fuss (Harry), Connie Taylor (Jeff) and Cindy Baer (Ronnie). Nieces and Nephews, Heather Staley (Billy), Chris Smith (Lindsey), Dylan Smith (Danielle), Alexa Holbert (Owen), Laney Baer and Dustin Shank (Ashley). Great Niece, Lauren Staley and great nephew, Nolan Smith. His beloved dogs, Maggie, Lacy and Gigi. Also, his many friends at Post 96 American Legion Brunswick MD.
Funeral Services are, viewing Monday, 3/3 from 3-6, Tuesday 3/4 from 10-11. Funeral is Tuesday 3/4 at 11am. After the funeral please join us for a celebration of life for Rick at American Legion Post 96, Brunswick Md upstairs in Memorial Hall, 18 S Maple Ave Brunswick MD.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Gregory Fuss
Pallbearers will be Chris Smith, Dylan Smith, Dustin Shank, Billy Staley, Ronnie Baer and Timmy Ruhl.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Special Olympics of Frederick County.
