Richard W. Faya's Obituary
Beloved father, grandfather and brother, Richard William Faya passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024, three days before his 79th birthday. Richard grew up in Catonsville, Maryland, and was a 1963 graduate of Catonsville High School.
For 15 years Richard was employed by Harry Faya Sons, an excavating and paving business founded by his grandfather, Harry F. Faya, in Catonsville. He later operated his own business, RWF Trucking, and drove trucks and heavy equipment for builders in the Baltimore-Washington area. He was a passionate golfer, an avid reader and a big car racing fan.
Richard was predeceased by his parents, Sherby and Margaret Faya. He is survived by his brother, Michael S. Faya, and his sister, Rosemary F. Prola; his ex-wife, Charlene Faya; and his children, Harry, Sharon, Robert, Clarice, and Tina Marie; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
