Richard Beasley's Obituary
Mr. Richard D. Beasley, Jr., 83, of Frederick passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024. He was born on September 27, 1941, in Louisville, KY.
Richard was the son of Richard D. Beasley and Adele Beasley (Kirby). Richard graduated from Dupont Manual High School and then joined the Navy in 1959. During his 8 years in the Navy, he served on ships the Patrick Henry and the Bancroft. Richard then started his career in government at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, where he was until retirement. Richard loved to cook at his home, he was a volunteer in the kitchen at the Walkersville Fire Hall, and enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle earlier in his life.
Mr. Beasley is survived by his wife, Joan Hill; step-sons, Tim Hill & wife Jenny, and Greg Hill & partner Trisha Dukes; one sibling, Larry Beasley; four step-grandchildren Brady Hill, Bailey Hill, Emmerson Hill, and Grayson Hill; two nieces, Melinda Funk and Alissa Wilson.
A private inurnment graveside service will occur at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 1pm.
