Richard Austin "Dickie" Crummitt of Hagerstown, MD passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Dickie was born in Frederick, MD on December 22, 1959 to Marie B. Simmons Crummitt Hawkins and Albert S. Crummitt, Sr.. Dickie was a 1977 graduate of Brunswick High School and worked for over 30 years as a well drillerr for the L.F. Easterday, Inc of Mt. Airy, MD. He was also a lifetime member of the Amvets of Frederick, MD.Dickie is the loving son of Marie B. (Harry) Hawkins, Sr. of Hagerstown and Albert S. Crummitt, Sr. and the late Pat Crummitt, of South Carolina ; brother of Jeffrey (Lisa) Crummitt of Smithsburg, Dale (Lynn) Crummitt of South Carolina, Tina (Charlie) Hall of Charles Town, WV, Lisa (David) Hawker of Jefferson, and the late Albert S. (Sherry) Crummitt, Jr.; stepbrother of Harry T. Hawkins, Jr., Melinda Crummitt of Frederick and Chuck Crummitt of Jefferson; nephew of Lester (Peggy) Simmons. Dickie is also survived by his many coworkers, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.Relatives and friends may call the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Thursday 6-8pm and Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm; where service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 11 am.
