Regina Margurite Raymond, a 1-year resident of Annapolis, MD and previously of Frederick, MD died on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Fairfield Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Crownsville, MD following a brief illness. She was 87. Born February 10, 1929, in Washington, D.C., she graduated from Eastern High School in Washington, D.C. Regina worked part time at Gillette Research Institute in Rockville, MD participating in clinical trials. She played organized softball with the Washington, D.C. youth leagues and, as a youth, frequented indoor roller skating rinks. Regina was an avid ten pin bowler with Good Council High School's mothers league. She also loved to golf and was a big Washington Redskins Fan. Regina was the devoted wife of the late Edward A. Raymond, who died in 2004; beloved mother of Bruce Raymond of Annapolis, MD, Gary Raymond of Key West, FL and Kathleen Turner of Jessup, MD; sister of the late Lawrence and James Follin; grandmother of Barry Raymond of Easton, MD, Dale Raymond of Crownsville, MD, Stephanie Sears of Pasadena, MD, Gary Raymond Jr. of Baltimore, MD, Tiffany Norris of West Deptford, NJ and Shannon Kahler of Eldersburg, MD. Also survived by twelve grandchildren. Friends may call at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Monday, June 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, June 7 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 118 E. 2nd Street, Frederick, MD.
