Regina Helen (Curran) Idoni's Obituary
Obituary
Regina Helen Idoni 89 of Frederick, Maryland passed away at Sinai Hospital, Baltimore, MD in the very caring Hospice unit on Thursday June 23, 2022, with many family members by her side.
Regina was born on April 16, 1933 to Cecilia and William Hubert Curran in Philadelphia, PA. Regina graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls on June 10, 1951, also located in Philadelphia, PA.
Once graduated, it wasn’t long before Regina headed to Washington D.C. where she landed a government position. For entertainment she attended local church and military dances with her friends and sister. While attending one of the dances, she met Nicholas Joseph Idoni Sr. and soon began her journey as a wife and mother. Regina gave birth to nine children. Regina held various corporate positions in the restaurant and banking industries throughout her work career.
She was a city girl at heart, so she tended to walk everywhere and knew her way around public transportation. Regina loved to seek out fine apparel at the local thrift shops and would enjoy reading suspense and spy novels in her spare time. This wonderfully kind, full of life person’s greatest achievement is the monumental family this little woman created.
Regina is preceded in death by her parents Cecilia (Richard) and William Hubert Curran; siblings Rosemary, William and Wallace, sons Nicholas Joseph Jr. and Michael Anthony; and her grandchildren Tonia Lynn Idoni and Russell Elliott Overs III.
She is survived by her sister Suzanne Huhn; seven of her children, Anne Marie Idoni, Donna Maria Ashton, William Dominic (Nannette)Idoni, Thomas Patrick Idoni, Regina Maria Kurak, Mark Anthony (Pamela)Idoni, Domenico Joseph Idoni; twenty-two grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
