Raymond Cooper's Obituary
Obituary
Raymond "Coop" Charles Cooper III, 27, of Frederick, Maryland, beloved son, brother, father, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend passed away Thursday April 12th, 2018. Growing up Coop was outgoing and spontaneous; playing in the neighborhood and flipping around on the playground; he loved fishing with his Dad; and his favorite movie was Beetlejuice. He had a warrior's mentality, with a poet's soul; naturally intelligent, with a gregarious personality who loved unconditionally. He loved his family, especially his son Calin who was a light in his life. A lover of anime and all things superhero; Coop's favorites included Dragon Ball Z, X-Men, and Deadpool. He was an avid follower of The Walking Dead. He also enjoyed video games, The Big Bang Theory and horror movies. Coop loved football and was a lifelong Raiders fan. It was not uncommon to see him jumping into backflips, breakdancing, impersonating others, or performing karaoke; two of his all-time favorites being Eminem and Kid Rock. He was never scared of looking silly, especially if it meant putting a smile on someone else's face. Coop created a memorable impression on those he met along the way-- a rare soul who will forever be missed. Coop will be forever remembered and always missed by his parents Tina Cavin-Johnson (Leon) and Raymond Cooper Jr; his sister's Caitlin Cavin and Brooklyn Mahoney; his grandparents, Patricia Mahoney Rakich and Joseph Rakich, and Naomi Hartle and Raymond Cooper Sr. And his son Raymond "Calin" Calvin Cooper and his mother Rachel Miller. He is forever loved by his aunt's; Joelie(Nathan), Samantha, Stephanie, Miki, Erica; his many cousins and lifelong family friends; Julie Ray and Letice Nettles-Martin(Howard). He is preceded in death by his Uncle Joseph Tyler Rakich. A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 21st from 1-2 PM at the Historical Chapel at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick where a service will begin at 2 PM with Pastor Karin Albaugh officiating.
