Mr. Ralph Robert Putman's Obituary
Ralph Robert "Bussie" Putman, 84, of near Urbana, passed away on April 23, 2025. He was the husband of Carol Ann Eisel Putman from Altoona, PA., and they were married for 54 years. He was born on December 1, 1940, he was the son of the late Lester William Putman and Viola Hahn Putman.
He left school his junior year to work on a dairy farm for 8 years but later went back to school to get a diploma. He worked 32 years for Daniel Ewing and Helen Conley Wight family at Monocacy Farms for 32 years. The farm was sold and developed into Worthington Manor Golf Course. He lived and worked there for 27 years.
He enjoyed watching, coaching and umpiring at Araby Baseball Fields. His sons and grandsons played all over the county. He grew up watching the Senators, Nationals and Redskins. He never had to much spare time but loved his gardens. He was an Honorary Life Member and past Commander of Francis Scott Key Post #11, a Life Member Amvets Post #2 and Member of the Forty and 8 Voiture Locale 155. He joined the United States Army Reserves 558th Signal Co. at Flair Armory in 1965-1971.
He is survived by his three loving sons: Kevin W. Putman (Cindy) loving dog Bubba of Boonsboro, MD., David P. Putman (Kim) of Frederick, MD., and Mike C. Putman (Jenny) of New Windsor, MD.; 4 grandchildren: Kevin Putman, Jr. (Miranda), Courtney of Thurmont, Caitlin, and David Jr.; and great-grandson Ronan of Falling Waters, WV.
